Two things were common in the cities where the gospel was taken in Acts and new churches were established. Either they were baptized, someone spoke about the being baptized. Many suggest baptism is a work and not essential for salvation, but what does the Bible say? In the 1st century, every major religion had a temple where they worshiped their god. Christians were the first group that excludes any specific location as required for worship. We are the temple where worship is performed for our heavenly Father.
