Allow Us to Introduce Ourselves
The Eastside Church of Christ in Midwest City, Oklahoma is a congregation of Christ followers. We serve Christ by serving those around us. As a church of Christ, we strive to worship the same way the church worshipped in the New Testament. In our assembly, we follow the patterns set in the Bible by the early Christians, as they followed the guidance of the apostles. It is our prayer that you see Jesus in us.

What To Expect
At Eastside, our worship is simple and heartfelt, typically lasting just over an hour and led by members of our congregation. We follow the pattern set forth in Scripture, believing the Bible provides clear guidance for how we worship God.
Our preacher shares a message from God’s Word, encouraging us to grow in faith and live according to His principles. Throughout the service, we join together in prayer and song, lifting our hearts in unity before the Lord.
We sing a cappella, meaning without instruments. While simple, this practice follows the example of the early church (Colossians 3:16) and reflects our desire to worship God purely. The term “a cappella” is Latin for “as in church,” emphasizing that our focus is on honoring Him.
A central part of our worship is the Lord’s Supper, observed every Sunday in remembrance of Jesus’ sacrifice (Matthew 26:26-29; Acts 20:7). This is a time for believers to partake of unleavened bread and grape juice, proclaiming the Lord’s death until He returns (1 Corinthians 11:17-34).
During the service, a collection plate is passed for members to give a goodwill offering to support the ministries of the church (1 Corinthians 16:1-2; 2 Corinthians 8:1-5). Guests are never required or expected to give.
For families, a nursery is available for babies, along with a room for nursing mothers and a training room in the North foyer, ensuring that everyone can participate comfortably in worship.
